Flower Embryo Art—a deeply personal and emotionally resonant exhibition by artist and former IVF nurse Lisa Ante Pangan.
Drawing from her experiences in reproductive healthcare, Pangan gives form to the often-invisible emotional weight carried by those navigating the complex world of fertility treatment. The central symbol of the exhibit, the Flower Embryo, is more than a visual motif—it is a quiet emblem of hope, growth, and human resilience. Rooted in the delicate process of life’s beginning, it captures the silent strength found in those moments when the future feels uncertain. In her own words, Pangan created this work to honor the emotional side of fertility journeys, which are too often overshadowed by clinical success metrics and societal pressures.
“In times like these, when perfection, function, and success seem to be of high importance, feelings take a back seat,”
Pangan reflects. “With Flower Embryo Art, I want to empower people to recognize that emotions are a vital part of life. Healing and growth require space.”
Each piece in the exhibition invites viewers to slow down and reflect—not only on their own stories but also on those carried quietly by others. Pangan’s work is a call for empathy, respect, and presence—a reminder that even in silence, we are never truly alone.
Flower Embryo Art runs from June 2 to 28, 2025, at Publicartist Gallery, Mahlerstrasse 11, 1010 Vienna.
Visitors are encouraged to engage with the exhibit not only as observers, but as participants in a shared human experience—one that honors vulnerability, celebrates resilience, and redefines strength.
